ENDODONTIC TREATMENT
By the term root canal or endodontic treatment we refer to the procedure of cleaning and disinfection of the root canal of a living or dead tooth, with or without periapical lesion or “cyst”.
Its ultimate goal is the preservation of natural teeth in the mouth without pain or inflammation.
Usually one or two visits are required. In rare cases of extensive inflammation, the treatment is prolonged until all symptoms subside.
